Vaardvies route 4 (Castle Park Arenberg): GREEN

Avoid disturbing bank zones and aquatic plants. Outside the boarding and
alighting locations, disembarking is prohibited.
» Only canoeing, kayaking, rafting, and stand-up paddle boards are allowed.
» A VTS-initiator canoe/kayak certificate or equivalent is recommended for
supervisors.
» Note:
• the mill at the castle. The left passage is not navigable due to the waterwheel.
The rails of the bridge railing protrude from the bottom of the bridge deck.
Maximum width for passage: 1.76 m.
• the sluices at Tervuursevest. The sluices are used for water management.
If they are lifted, you can pass through without problems.
At higher water levels, the passage under the sluices will be lower.
During high water or for maintenance, the sluices can be lowered.
Passage will not be possible for paddlers then. Maximum width for passage:
3.77 m.
» It is forbidden to navigate half an hour after sunset until sunrise.
Take into account the travel time to the next landing site and exit the water in time.
» Stricter safety conditions apply on the next stretch through the center of Leuven.
