Like Bütgenbach Lake, Robertville Dam also stores the water of the Warche. Its construction dates from a 1924 State decree. As well as generating electricity, it is also Malmédy's main supply of drinking water.
A narrow spit of land, with picnic area and bathing facilities, was provided just south of Robertville town centre. Boat hire facilities are available close to the reservoir wall. On a rocky outcrop along a footpath just 800m from the dam, there is the Middle Ages Reinhardstein Castle, which can be visited at set times during school holidays and on public holidays.
