But in the sixties this brewery also closed. The last barrel of the typical old Hoegaard wheat beer rolled out of the Tomsin brewery in 1957. However, that was without Tomsin's young neighbor, Pierre Celis. The milk hawker Celis is at home with Tomsin and helps in his spare time in the brewery. When the brewery closed its doors in 1957, the young Pierre Celis did not stop there. He has seen how the wheat beer is brewed often enough at his neighbor-brewer.
