The neoclassical Saint-Martin parish church was rebuilt in 1851. It houses a remarkable Louis XV-style organ from the mid-18th century and a Louis XIV-style organ from the early 18th century. Both are protected as monuments.
The organ of Thorembais-les-Béguines has been restored with a view to respecting the existing material despite its rather heterogeneous character. Thanks to this restoration, this anonymous instrument, the
origin is unknown, one of the most beautiful sound monuments in Wallonia. Its most important feature is its exceptional sound, which comes into its own majestically thanks to the excellent acoustics of the Saint-Martin church. This church in neoclassical style was built in 1851 by the architects Antoine Moreau (1791-1872) and Emile Coulon (1825-1891).
The organ has been listed as a monument since 4 October 1974, as well as the balustrade of the 18th-century singing gallery on which the instrument is placed. This instrument is still played and delights the enthusiasts and the connoisseurs. The
restoration of this organ is still regarded today as an example in this area in the Walloon Region.
