Castle Rondenbos, also known as Castle Bosquet, built by order of Frans Bosquet around 1903-1909 and since 1974 in use as a town hall. The country house is located in a spacious landscape park with typical landscape construction from the beginning of the 20th century.
Between 1903 and 1909, Bosquet Castle was built by the Antwerp timber merchant Frans Bosquet. In 1912 the site was enlarged by purchasing the plot on the corner of Alsembergsteenweg and Beukenbosstraat. On that spot was inn "De Keizer" which certainly existed in 1749. In 1914 the inn was replaced by the caretaker's house with stables and an entrance gate. After the First World War, the property changed hands several times to become the property of the Eloy family from Brussels in 1933. The property was inhabited until 1939. Subsequently, it was used by both German and English soldiers during World War II. In 1946 it was in use by the KAJ. The municipality of Alsemberg purchased the domain in 1973 and in 1974 it was converted into a town hall. In 1993-1994 it was enlarged to provide more space for the municipal services.
