The Beverenpolder is the polder area between Kallo, Melsele, Vrasene and the Beverse Broekstraat. This street forms the separation between the polders and the sand-loam area behind them, and is therefore rightly called 'Het Hoog'. When the Scheldt floods, the water comes as far as the Broekstraat, not on the higher meadows of Het Hoog.
