Originally, this castle was a fortified farmhouse, dependent on the lordship of Male. A new castle in neo-Gothic style was built between 1913 and 1929 at a short distance from the still existing farmhouse. In 1956, the Centre for European and International Education was established there. In the near future, a restaurant/tearoom will open in the castle. You can also visit the castle grounds with its home garden and educational path for free. The very peacefully located estate is surrounded by beautiful avenues and extensive forests where you can ride your bike or walk in complete tranquility.
