The sinkholes occur on the slope of the Broekbos and at the top of the plateau at 'Op de Eiken'. A sinkhole is a bowl- or funnel-shaped depression formed by collapse due to the dissolution of underlying limestone by carbonated water. In the Broekbos, it is overgrown with forest vegetation, but it is still recognizable in the relief. On the plateau, the sinkhole lies in the cadastral corner of a meadow.
