Caelenhaag is an unpaved hollow road that has been carved out on the steep slope between the Calenberg and the Bosbeek. There are still about 8 old and hollow pollard hornbeams on the slopes. The thickest has a circumference of 230 cm. From the shape of the trees it can be deduced that the (small) branch wood was harvested, possibly as foliage feed for the cattle.
