Railway station from around 1880 located on the Stationsplein west of the Molenstraat on the Brussels-Denderleeuw railway line. Several stations were opened on this railway line in the 1860s, the one in Sint-Martens-Bodegem opened on 1 September 1864. Due to the construction of the railway line, the former Stationsstraat was created as a connection between the centre and the station. The station building itself is said to have been erected in 1880 (registered on the land register in 1882), according to a new type designed by the Groupe Bruxelles-Nord for a number of stations on various lines including the Brussels-Denderleeuw line. Nine of this type of station were built (also on other lines), including the station building of Dilbeek, which is still preserved.
