The Saint Anthony Abbot Church is the parish church of the village of Heist, which is part of the West Flanders municipality of Knokke-Heist, located at Sint-Jozefsstraat 1.
Originally, the core of Heist was in the south of the current core, known as Koudekerke, now the neighborhood of Oostwinkel, south of the current railway line. Koudekerke became an independent parish in the last quarter of the 12th century, which was split off from that of Lissewege.
A 13th-century early Gothic church stood here.
