Director's residence

Former residence of manufacturer M. Draps with the remaining adjacent part of the industrial building (mechanical bedspread weaving), according to land registry archives the house was newly built in 1941 and the accompanying existing industrial building was simultaneously enlarged. Wide urban house of two storeys and under a staggered flat roof, built with characteristics in line with the new objectivity. According to the inscription above the plinth to the left of the door portico designed by architect L Van Wiele (Hamme) Yellow brick construction with hard stone plinth, white painted artificial stone frames around the wide horizontal windows and front door. On the right, a higher volume with a deeply recessed verticalizing door projection; half enclosed door portico under a canopy with an iron railing; ladder window above the door and two round windows next to it with a geometrizing stained glass window and flagpole between them.
