Hoeve 't Schoor or 't Halschoor

Strongly restored farmhouse, in core rising to the third quarter of the 17th century; The name refers to the old hamlet and the nearby bridge, see street note; At the time, this was a prime example of typical Kempen farmhousekeeping. Ancient origin: already in documents of 1403 and 1453 mention of the name "sc(h)ore"; partially rebuilt in 1671, presumably by order of St. Michael's Abbey in Antwerp; the Ferraris map (circa 1775) mentions 't Schoor as "Schor Cabaret" (inn); the on old maps vast "Schoorse heide" between Hal in the south and the Heike in the north probably belonged to "'t Schoor".
