So-called "Castle of the Sandeken" or "Castle de Hemptinne" and later also so-called villa "Les Bourgoien". Already appearing on a map of 1815. In 1892 the property was sold to J. Fobe who had the castle rebuilt, adding one floor and the dome. In 1918, a southern part of the garden was already parcelled out. Owned by Raymond de Hemptinne in 1928. A further allotment in 1946 reduces the park to a garden around the castle, now called "Home Sparrenhove" for adults mentally handicapped. Original double house with basement and one storey under mansard roof (artificial slate) with dormers. Façade on the garden side with two protruding risalites of one bay and in between portal with glass awning, later closed and equipped with a larger roof on pillars. Stabbing staircase flanked by two reclining dogs. Rear façade, now facing the garden fence, marked by a three-bay wide two-storey central risalite under dome roof with oeils-de-boeuf and lantern crown, iron balcony for the round-arched windows on the first floor. Rectangular windows with cornice on the top floor. Furthermore, rectangular windows with shutter cabinets and cornice. Right side façade with staircase illuminated by high round arch window, higher extended with pediment crowning. Inside. In one of the rooms preserved marble empire fireplace with hermen as decoration of the chimney cheeks. In stairwell round arched window with stained glass window representing a village view and drawn: "J.E.T. Coucke frères, peintres-verriers, Bruges, 1905".
