Free-standing neo-Gothic church, built around 1900 according to the design of P.J. Taeymans; design dates from February 18, 1898. Surrounded cemetery. Until 1561, Hegge, Poppel, Ravels, and Eel formed one parish, belonging to the diocese of Liège. Poppel and Ravels formed a "double church" with one pastor who resided in the rectory in Poppel.
