Oriented place of worship in the middle of a bordered churchyard, along the street side and church path enclosed by a recent brick wall with a donkey's back between pedestals. Neo-Gothic hall church with west tower, designed by architect F. Van Welden (Poperinge) from 1922-'23 - see the blue stone plaque to the right of the entrance and on the choir head - replacing a three-nave church from 1770, enlarged and equipped with a new tower designed by architect J. Vinck (Veurne) from 1872 and destroyed during World War I. The current church is somewhat different from the pre-war place of worship, see in particular the design of the west tower and the addition of the south choir and sacristy.
