Since 2020, this has become a COMMUNITY CENTER (Steenweg 246 9810 Eke) for and by the residents of Eke-Landuit.
The neighborhood school has a very long history in Landuit. It was built in 1900 and was in use as a kindergarten until last summer (2019). But the doors closed irrevocably due to insufficient students.
During a reunion, the first plans were already made to do something with the vacant building. This building is part of the history of this neighborhood. Letting it deteriorate or even demolishing it would be very unfortunate.
Therefore, about six local residents have started a committee to work towards the preservation of this school.
