The Eylenbosch brewery was founded in 1894 by Emiel Eylenbosch. Not only lambic was brewed, but also the derived drinks such as gueuze, faro and kriekenlambiek. The main entrance was located on the Ninoofsesteenweg, east of the brewer's house. In the center of the site was a closed courtyard. To the west of the brewer's house was a warehouse and to the south the brewery itself. There was a second warehouse on the IJsbergstraat. Around 1930 the brewery and the brewer's house were rebuilt. Presumably the brewing tower was also erected around this period. Between 1924 and 1932, a second brewer's house was added in eclectic style. On May 28, 1961, a metal construction was inaugurated on the brewing tower and put into use by VTB-VAB.
