House Den Beestenhof

In the past, according to the façade inscription, it was called 'Villa Margareta', nowadays also known as 'Den Beestenhof'. Detached house behind a low iron fence, worth mentioning because of the colorful painting and associated folkloric garden architecture. L-shaped house with one and a half storeys under intersecting gable roofs, from around 1925. Green-painted facades with whitewashed corner chamfers and pink-painted covered terrace with four landscapes in mural. Terrace railing brightened up by polychrome load-bearing males and a head between balusters. In the front garden and to the side, several polychrome naïve folk statues made of reinforced concrete by the first owner of the villa, Domien Alloncius: black boy with snake, girl, hat, king, queen, ballet dancer, giraffe, kangaroo, lion, crocodile, deer, zebra, woman in swimsuit, bust of Domien Alloncius and bust of dancer.
