The Bisschoppenhof is a castle in the municipality of Antwerp in Deurne, located on Suzanne Spanhovenstraat 22.De Prince-Bishop of Liège had certain rights here and an episcopal villa that came into the possession of the Duke of Brabant after the Battle of Woeringen. It became a fief of the duke and as such came into the possession of various families. In 1568 there was mention of an old steynen dilapidated house and in 1631 it was described as a motte or berch surrounded by a stone tower, bornputte, schuere, poorthuyse ende stallinghe, so an enclosed motte with a stone tower, well, barn, gatehouse and stables. In 1647 there was talk of a beautiful house of playsentie built on the ground. Apparently, a noble country house had been built on the site of the motte.
