Farm The Pink Flower

Hoeve known as De Rozeblomme is protected as a monument, the surroundings are protected as a village landscape by royal decree of January 13, 1978. Former tenant farm of the Ter Doest abbey (Lissewege). Four separate components grouped around a newly arranged courtyard. Used as a restaurant-tea room. Peasant house from the 16th century, four bays and one higher chamber bay under a stepped gable roof (Flemish tiles). Current appearance is the result of restoration works in 1993. Anchored brick construction, originally painted white above a pebbled plinth. Rectangular window openings with joinery in 19th-century style. Entrance in Tudor arch with beveled day edges framed in a composite arch with profiled day edges. A recent statue of a saint is placed in the transom window. A water well is built against the cellar wall on the street side. Northern gable with wickerwork and a large round-arched niche with beveled edges adorned with intricate tracery in the spandrel. Barn. Large cross barn with a rectangular floor plan under a hipped roof. Two driveways, on the west side, the two large entrance gates are covered with shed roofs. Rebuilt in 1993 and used as a banquet hall. Stables housed in a single-story building covered with a gable roof furnished with Flemish tiles. Eastern gable equipped with small buttresses. Current appearance is the result of 1993 when the stables were rebuilt. Partly freestanding bakehouse of anchored yellow brick. Current appearance is the result of restoration activities in 1993.
