Middenlaan no. 75/ Transvaalstraat (z.nrs.). So-called "LES LYS", "LES GERANIUMS", and "LES CHARDONS" with front gardens on the Middenlaan. Corner block in eclectic style built before the First World War designed by architect B. Vanhecke (Middelkerke), burned out during the First World War and restored in the 1920s. Originally three residential houses in a unified design with a basement level. The actual corner house with signatures "B. VAN HECKE ARCHITECTE" (left) and "P. BONTE ENTREPRENEUR OSTENDE" (right) in the window sills; two building floors under a pseudo-mansard roof (slate). Flanking buildings on the left and right (Transvaalstraat z.nr. and Middenlaan no. 75) with two and one bay, respectively, and three building floors under a flat roof; delineating crown moldings on elaborately worked consoles. On Transvaalstraat, adjoining garage of one and a half building floors under a flat roof. Red brick construction, strongly horizontally divided by means of bands of yellow decorative brick; half floor of the garage in imitation half-timbering. Slate canopies on corbels at the corner building and the garage. Division of the flanking buildings by means of balconies with iron railings; on the right building also a three-sided bow window. Arched and basket-arched wall openings. Door on a landing, in a prominent frame. Preserved woodwork including muntin division with an oval center in the upper lights.
