A green lung located close to the historical heart, the slopes of the citadel are an unexpected place a stone’s throw away from Saint-Lambert square. With more than 80 hectares that blend nature and heritage, they were awarded three stars by the Guide Vert Michelin. They offer unique views of Liège and the valley of the Meuse and comprise numerous iconic city monuments. From the mountain of Bueren to the vestiges of the 13th-century enclosing wall, not forgetting the various species of trees, the slopes of the citadel has a host of hidden treasures... Several themed trails have been laid out so that visitors can criss-cross them and explore their most interesting plots of land.
