Stavelot Abbey... the new pleasure destination Historical Museum for the Principality of Stavelot-Malmedy. For more than a thousand years, the principality exerted its influence over a territory extending well beyond Belgium's borders. The Museum of the Principality of Stavelot-Malmedy offers a modern and fun-filled itinerary of the history of an Ancien Régime State. Images and sounds, objects and works of art are skilfully orchestrated using the latest multimedia techniques. Wibald Area, 12th century Empire priest. Museum of the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit. In the vaulted cellars of the Abbey, the museum recounts the history of the "finest circuit in the world". An exhibition of exceptional vehicles, previously unseen video film and unusual objects recreate the passion, from the pioneers to present-day racing drivers. The young and not-so-young will become a Fangio, Senna or Schumacher when they take a virtual lap of the Ardennes racetrack. Guillaume Apollinaire Museum. This museum, with its hushed atmosphere, evokes the poet's stay in the Stavelot region and immerses visitors in the world of the author of the "Chanson du Mal-Aimé".
