Listed since 1998, the Grosse Tour farm owes its current name to the 18th-century dovecote that overhangs the entrance porch. In previous times, it was called Burdinne castle and was the domain of the region’s seigniors. Built on the square farm model, the set of buildings dating back to the 16th and 18th century has undergone various renovations. The barn and stables were added in the 17th century and a new corps de logis was built in the 18th century as an extension to the yard. This impressive section enlarged the yard and changed its shape into an L.
The buildings are Meuse Renaissance style and the interiors still exhibit fixtures and fittings that reflect its occupants’ social status.
