Bohan is the last village in Belgium to be washed by the Semois. It is located deep in the southeast of the province of Namur, 16 km northwest of Bouillon as the crow flies. The parish church (1760) is a beautiful stone building of the region. The Lourdes grotto on the left bank of the Semois, a little downstream from the village, is a faithful reproduction of that of Lourdes. On the village square is the Maison du Marichau, a half-timbered building that rightly adorns the list of historic monuments. Just north of the village, in and around a Semoism lake, stretches the beautiful natural park of Bohan-Membre, 177 hectares of pure natural beauty.
