This bike path is also known as the Hageland-Kempen Bike Path. In this former railway bed, you as a cyclist are not bothered by the rest of the traffic, except of course at the successive crossings where 'regular traffic' has the right of way. Moreover, these crossings are usually safe and constructed in an identical manner, making them easily recognizable. At the road to be crossed, there are always staggered gates, so you cannot recklessly ride straight through. There are often signs with the message 'cyclists slow down'. At the road that crosses the bike path, that crossing is usually made of cobblestones, so that traffic on that road receives a minimal warning. The bike path runs through a predominantly green environment.
