De Vorte Bossen is a nature reserve located within the municipality of Ruiselede, between the parishes of Doomkerke and Kruiskerke. The 50-hectare forest lies on the edge of the Flemish Sand Ridge. It is owned by Natuurpunt and managed by the regional department of Natuurpunt De Torenvalk vzw. The area is protected at a European level as part of the Natura 2000 site 'Forests, heathlands and valley areas of Sandy Flanders: western part'.
