Hageland

In the Hageland, wine production is taking place in various locations. In some places, it started centuries ago, while in others this activity is more recent. To get an idea of wine production in this region, a visit to the visitor center is an excellent first step. On an overview map, you can see where the vineyards are located and how to cycle or walk along these vineyards. Additionally, there is also an overview map of the walking possibilities in the Winge Valley. And since you are in Wezemaal, you definitely want to check out the model of Wijngaardberg, which features the Wijngaard walk. To taste the Hageland wine, you need to go to the wine cellar (only for groups, by appointment), organized by the association Steenen Muur. You can taste wines made from the various grape varieties that are planted in the Hageland: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, and Dornfelder.
