Viticulture is practiced in various places in the Hageland. In some places it started centuries ago, in other places this activity is more recent. To get an idea of viticulture in this region, a visit to the visitor center is an excellent first step. On an overview map you can see where the vineyards are located and how
you can cycle or walk along these vineyards. In addition, there is also an overview map of the hiking opportunities in the Winge Valley. And since you are now in Wezemaal, you definitely want to see the model of the Wijngaardberg, with the Vineyard Walk indicated on it. To taste the Hageland wine, you have to go to the wine cellar (only for groups, by appointment), organized by the non-profit organization Steenen Muur. You can taste it
wines made from the various grape varieties planted in the Hageland: Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder.
