The Sint-Martinuskerk is the parish church of the town of Westvleteren, which belongs to the West Flemish municipality of Vleteren, located at Westvleterendorp.
In 1076 the parishes of Westvleteren and Oostvleteren were created. In 1197 the patronage right came to the Abbey of Waten. A Romanesque church was built, using iron sandstone. Parts of it can be found in the later, late Gothic, construction. In the first half of the 18th century, the church was partially rebuilt.
