A picture. You can't describe the whole of the beautiful village square and town hall better. Although Kaprijke has not been a city for centuries, the town hall is still referred to as 'town hall', which reminds of the city rights that Kaprijke and Eeklo received within the Brugse Vrije in 1240. Until recently, the town hall was located in this Old Alderman's House, the first mentions of which date back to 1455. Now the building has a new function as an art gallery and tourist office.
