This place is called 'Kattenbosserheide'. 'Kattenbosserheide' is, together with the 'Heuvelse Heide', the 'Blekerheide' and 'Riebos', one of the four remnants that remain in 'Lommel' of the former 'Kempische heide'. The four nature reserves are managed by 'Natuurpunt Noord Limburg'. The intention is to restore the former heath to its former glory by means of management works such as mowing, turfing, the removal of sprouting bushes and fly pines.
