Neerlanden is a village in the municipality of Landen, in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. Neerlanden was an independent municipality until the municipal reorganization of 1971 when it merged with Attenhoven, after which it became part of Landen.De oldest mention of the toponym Landen dates from 1050, with genitive Landane. The name Neerlanden comes from 1116. Neerlanden is toponymically related to London. The village is named after the neighboring village of Landen.
