Music Forest

With the replanting after the clearing of the First World War, the beech now plays the first violin in the Muziekbos. However, the beech, with its dense crown, allows little light to pass through. As a result, the undergrowth in the forest is limited locally. Fortunately, wild hyacinth, small periwinkle and wild garlic are a colorful exception to this every spring. Targeted felling of trees in certain zones will eventually transform the Muziekbos into a mixed deciduous forest with beech, cherry, oak and ash.
