The first chapel of Ninane was built in 1755. However, it was not until 1875 that Ninane became a parish under the name of the Immaculate Conception. In place of the chapel, a church was built in 1882. In 1940 it was completely destroyed after the intensive bombing of Fort Chaudfontaine and was rebuilt in a more modern style in 1952.
