Kolonel Dusartplein is a square located at the small ring north of the city center of the Belgian city of Hasselt, in the province of Limburg. The square originated as a march and gathering place for the now-demolished Kolonel Dusart barracks that was located north of the square. Until 1919, the square was named Wapenplein. It was then renamed Martelarenplein in tribute to the 20 victims who were executed in the courtyard of the barracks during World War I. On October 30, 1922, the square received its current and final name, which it owes to Colonel Charles Dusart, who gathered the 11th Line Regiment here on July 29, 1914, to fight against the Germans.
