The Abeele Aerodrome Military Cemetery is named after the nearby airfield 'Abeele Airfield', but has nothing to do with it. The cemetery 'Abeele Aerodrome' was first used by French troops during the German Spring Offensive, in April 1918. Today, 104 identified dead from the United Kingdom rest in the cemetery. The cemetery is freely accessible from sunrise to sunset.
