The Heynsdale forest or Heynsdaelebos is a nature reserve of about 30 hectares in the Flemish Ardennes on the border of Ronse and Kluisbergen. It is located near other forests in the forest belt of the Flemish Ardennes, including Hotond-Scherpenberg, Helling van Kraai and Kluisbos. The area is part of the Flemish Ecological Network and is protected at European level as part of the Natura 2000 site Forests of the Flemish Ardennes and other South Flemish forests. The Heynsdaele forest consists mainly of beech with pedunculate oak, common ash and sweet cherry on the steeper slopes. In spring, the wild hyacinth blooms; There are also 45 species of mushrooms. Among other things, there is a glossy eye, tawny owl, nuthatch, red bat, vermilion beetle,... The forest is not freely accessible.
