The Chapel of Mary of Help is a late Baroque chapel, located on the Houtmarkt in Haaltert and is part of the entrance to the cemetery of Haaltert. The chapel is built with bricks in combination with sandstone. The façade consists of two pilasters surmounted by a cornice that serves as the basis for a curly and stepped gable with triangular pediment. The door has a sandstone frame surmounted by a cartouche with the year of construction 1703 and the text Maria Van Bystant B.V.O. . There are two round-arched windows in the side walls. The chapel has a slate gable roof and turret with bell and metal cross. The altar with the statue of Mary of Help is in Baroque style.
