The Saint John the Baptist Church is the parish church of the village of Sint-Jansrade, which is part of the Belgian municipality of Aubel, located on Rue de la Marnière.
The construction of this church began in 1879 and it was consecrated in 1880. The larger church became necessary because the population had grown significantly due to the textile industry in the south. Shortly before 1890, the west tower was completed.
