The name of this square, meaning height of a hundred, should be taken quite literally: you are now standing 100 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest spots in the city. The Saint Augustine church on the square is a concrete church in art-deco style from the 1930s. It is one of three concrete churches in Brussels, together with one in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek (Molenbeek-Saint-Jean) (which can be discovered during the North-West cycling tour) and the other in Schaarbeek (Schaerbeek).
Take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking view. You will now descend back into the valley of the river Zenne, along Forest Park. The difference in altitude is a reason for several cycling organisations to participate in the annual Fête de la Charge, a short timed climb in nearby Mysteriestraat (Rue du Mystère). Pedalling heavily-loaded cargo and carrier bikes, participants climb 33 metres on slopes of up to 14.7%.
TIP: At Alexandre Bertrandlaan (Avenue Alexandre Bertrand) you may cycle on the tram section. Keep as perpendicular as possible when crossing the tracks to prevent a fall. At the Jupiter tram stop you can cross safely to Besmelaan (Avenue Besme).
