In 1870, the Société du chemin de fer international de Malines à Terneuzen established a station in Temse. The building consisted of three sections: two high parts with gable roofs, each comprising two floors, connected by a long central section with nine bays.
The current station building dates from 1956 and was designed by architect P.E. Moreels. The building consists of a ticket office, service rooms, and until March 2016, a signal house. However, the latter has been taken over by Dendermonde as part of the concentration plan for signal houses.
