Located in sandy-loam Brabant, not far from Villers-la-Ville, the site stretches along the left bank of the Ri de Hé, a tributary of the Thyle. This private property, partially included in a Natura 2000 site, consists of a south-exposed sandy slope and a wet bottom. The whole area presents high biological interest. The wooded parts notably host the bluebell (Hyacinthoides non-scripta). Locally, in the most open areas, a sandy lawn can develop, with the most remarkable species being the delicate bird's foot (Ornithopus perpusillus), particularly abundant here. Although very limited in extent, the wetland includes a filipendula community, a magnocaricetum, a small dry reedbed, some elements of acidic low marshes, and small willow thickets. It presents high floristic interest for the region, including various uncommon species of sedges. On the faunistic side, it is important to highlight the presence of the large violet (Brenthis ino), a common day butterfly in the Ardennes but extremely rare in northern Wallonia, whose caterpillar develops at the expense of the queen of the meadow.
