There was already a castle on this site in the 13th century. Knight Goswin Bok sold the property to the Teutonic orders of Pitzenburg, who cared for knights on crusade to the Holy Land. Many years later, in the 18th century, the castle took on its current appearance when it is inhabited by the Geelhand family. During the Second World War, the estate was occupied by the German army. After the war, it even served as a home for children for a while. Be sure to walk through the 16-hectare hiking area just behind the castle.
