Alfred Delebecque built a new castle on this site in 1892. His daughter Louise married Jean-Baptist de Ghellinckd'Elseghem and by inheritance the castle came into the hands of this family. After the fire of 1911, it was immediately rebuilt. In 1936 it was sold to the Marian sisters of Franciscus Van Waasmunster to establish the open psychiatric hospital of Sint-Camillus.
