The Montfort College, sometimes abbreviated as MCR, is a Catholic secondary school founded by the Montfort Fathers. In 1922, Father Moors started a Flemish school for boys in Leuven, based on the traditions of the Montfort Fathers in Belgium. In 1927, with the support of several wealthy families in the area, the congregation purchased a castle from the Moerinckx family in Rotselaar, the Vrouwenpark. This estate was located on the ruins of the former Benedictine abbey Vrouwenpark.
A final witness of the former abbey is formed by wall fragments of the 17th-century main entrance in line with the avenue on the north side. The gatehouse itself has disappeared, but the wall supports with 19th-century blocky, hard stone pilasters, wrought iron gates, and the preceding iron-sandstone arch bridge preserve the gate effect.
