This is one of the five 'meeting places' along the Demer. The floating path takes you through the crowns of this oak forest. We look out on the Demer and see the church tower of Werchter nearby, a village where for centuries ship tractors pulled the boats upstream up the river. It is certain that loads of iron sandstone were transported as far as Diest and beyond.
