Marilou created this piece for the assignment ‘Traces in the Landscape’. She searched for different textures and captured them using a printing technique. Once she had gathered enough, these ‘traces’ were transformed into a futuristic landscape. She completed the starry sky using collage. A very current theme these days with the launch of SpaceX.
Marilou's sister, Laurien, also ventured into collage with the assignment ‘Dream Gardens and Crazy Figures’. She let her imagination run wild and created a beautiful ballerina from various cutouts.
