The stone mill with ground floor and 4 attics dates from 1879. Previously, the mill was made of wood and was built in 1766 by Jacobus Ferdinand de Necker. This mill, or what remains of it, has been through a lot. In World War I, it was used by the Germans as a lookout, causing a lot of damage. A storm in 2006 created a meter-wide fissure. The mill ruins are no longer millable, but are now a war memorial. The tower has been a protected monument since 1 April 1999 and was then given the name Peace Mill.
